Overview
Southampton | Full-Time | £34,000 – £38,000 per annum
Are you an experienced logistics professional who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly, building strong customer relationships and getting the best out of a team?
We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Logistics Key Account Supervisor to join an established logistics business in Southampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with warehouse management systems experience, strong Excel skills and a genuine passion for customer service. You’ll take ownership of key customer accounts, lead a small team and play an important role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, stock is managed effectively and deliveries go out on time.
You don’t need to know everything from day one. What’s equally important is your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to take responsibility, support your colleagues and develop your skills.
About the Role:
As Logistics Key Account Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of several key customer accounts, ensuring they receive a reliable, efficient and professional service.
You’ll be the link between customers, the warehouse and the wider logistics team, coordinating orders, managing stock allocations and ensuring everything runs to schedule.
Alongside managing your own responsibilities, you’ll lead a small team, helping to maintain high standards of customer service, accuracy and operational performance.
It’s a busy, varied position where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, solve problems and make a real difference to the daily operation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing key customer accounts, acting as a main point of contact and building strong working relationships
- Leading and supporting a small team responsible for daily customer account operations
- Processing customer orders, allocating stock and managing daily pick lists
- Liaising closely with the warehouse to ensure orders are picked, packed and despatched on time
- Maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Monitoring order progress, resolving queries and keeping customers informed
- Coordinating shipments and supporting stock control and warehouse administration
- Preparing reports, updating records and supporting invoicing activities
- Ensuring customer requirements, deadlines and service standards are consistently met
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and make daily operations more efficient
What Our Client Is Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who combines practical logistics experience with a positive attitude and the drive to succeed.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar operational software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with systems and data
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, stock control or order fulfilment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A customer-focused approach and strong communication skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to solve problems quickly
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- A natural team player who enjoys supporting others and taking responsibility
- The confidence and potential to lead a small team
Previous supervisory experience would be useful, but we’re equally interested in someone with the right experience, attitude and potential to develop into a leadership role.
What’s on Offer
- Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending on experience
- An opportunity to take ownership of important customer accounts
- A varied role combining customer service, logistics operations and team leadership
- The chance to develop your supervisory and operational management skills
- A collaborative, team-focused working environment
- The opportunity to contribute ideas and make a genuine impact on day-to-day operations
If you’re an organised, motivated logistics professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems and keeping customers happy, we’d love to hear from you.
