Internal Sales Manager

Our client is a global freight forwarder that are looking to add to their team in Southampton Do you have solid sales experience gained within the freight forwarding industry? Are you confident building new relationships? If the answer is yes, then this is a fantastic opportunity with a well-established and respected company.

The Role:

In this role you will need to build and maintain good relationships with their customers locally, overseas and with their suppliers, handle all the quotations, gain new business and follow up on leads. Obtain cost effective solutions from their approved suppliers, accompany colleagues to their customers trade shows. The successful candidate will need the manage the systems and ensure the Sales Pipeline are aligned with the monthly and annual budget requirements, plus present sales performance metrics to the general manager and support with LinkedIn marketing posts and brand promotion.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous Shipping experience – Freight Forwarding
  • UK and EU multimodal freight-forwarding knowledge is essential.
  • Proven sales / commercial background
  • Excellent time management administration and planning skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service and IT skills

About the Company:

Our client based in Southampton, with a supportive management structure in place.

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is looking to pay between £28k – £40k for the right candidate, plus commission-based bonus scheme, company car allowance and pension scheme.
