Business Development Manager

Our client provides worldwide logistics solutions through a global network. The company is looking to add to their team in Southampton. Do you have solid commercial and sales experience, then this could be the role for you?

The Role:

In this role you will have full responsibility for identifying potential customers, approaching & tendering, and bringing new business onboard, whilst managing a sales pipeline. Arrange face to face client sales visits plus close the business, generate sales leads plus target new trade sales. The successful candidate will also need to engage with the Road Freight Management team to identify opportunities. Plus, other duties when required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous logistics / 3PL experience
  • Proven sales / commercial background
  • Full driving licence
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service and IT skills

Our client has offices throughout the UK & Spain and has a great reputation as a market leader in their field.

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is looking to pay between £35k – £45k, for the right candidate. Commission, car allowance after probation period and pension scheme.
