What you’ll do
Manage international shipments from start to finish, coordinating with carriers, agents and shipping lines to keep everything moving smoothly. You’ll handle both imports and exports, giving you a wide range of experience across different transport modes.
Oversee the flow of shipping documentation, including commercial invoices and Bills of Lading, and make sure goods are Customs cleared, keeping everything compliant with UK and international regulations.
Arrange final delivery of shipments, track progress and resolve any issues that come up. This will build your problem-solving skills, which are highly valued in the industry.
What you’ll need
- Experience in freight forwarding, so you understand how to coordinate shipments and work with logistics providers
- Knowledge of shipping documentation like commercial invoices, Bills of Lading and Customs paperwork
- Strong communication skills, as you’ll be building relationships with clients and carriers
