Vessel Supervisor
Are you an experienced ships agent, looking to make your next career move and join a large well established, global shipping line?
The Role:
Primarily you will be responsible for the management of and cost-effective control of all permanent and agency staff allocated to your vessel. Carry out all Vessel loading, and discharge functions as directed by the CSI, optimising breaks based throughout the operation to maintain maximum productivity and minimum fatigue. Assist the Vessel Services CSI’s with driving operational excellence, customer service and brand values.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of cost-effective control of all permanent and agency staff allocated to your vessel, plus using the post vessel briefing forms, provide specific feedback on staff within 24 hours for the Labour Coordinator and the CSI post ops report.
The successful candidate must have flexibility and able to meet changing priorities and business needs in a positive and proactive manner.
Essential Criteria:
- Experienced Team Leader
- Experience of stevedore/vessel services activities and port cargo handling techniques.
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Full clean driving license
- Able to be flexible with working hours and weekends.
