Ships Agent
Are you an experienced ships agent, looking to make your next career move and join a large, well established shipping company with offices nationwide? We are looking to speak to ships agents who are looking to join a friendly team & to work a fair rota, to re-address work / life balance.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the safe arrival & turnaround of vessels of all sizes, carry our the instructions of Ships Masters , Owners and Principals within the bounds of normal agency practice . You will be visiting vessels in port under the control of the Department. Maintain close working ties with customers and provide advice to management, via regular operations meeting. The successful candidate will need to assist in the general management and administration of the Company or department through the prompt and efficient processing of invoices / paperwork etc , plus take appropriate action on any Health & Safety issues reported.
Essential Criteria:
- Full British Driving Licence
- Shipping
- Able to be flexible with working hours, including weekends & Bank Holidays
- Good attention to detail
- A ‘can do’ attitude
