If so, we have a vacancy that may well be of interest. Our client is a well-established, leading freight forwarder to the marine sector based in Central Southampton.

The Southampton office has s small team, but certainly a busy, fast-paced & enjoyable environment where you’ll gain full support from the directors who have a wealth of forwarding & business knowledge.

The Role:

As an Export Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for the start to finish process of moving out of gauge & breakbulk cargo. You will be commercially minded, be a natural problem solver and be able to build relationships with customers & suppliers.

You will be responsible for negotiating and booking cargo with shipping lines & carriers, liaise closely with other departments, ensuring all project movements are moved on time, safely with the necessary Customs clearance & paperwork in place.

Although project cargo experience would be beneficial, more importantly is attitude and willingness to learn. So, as long as you have forwarding / shipping experience, and that required spark, then we certainly would like to hear from you.

Essential Criteria:

  • Export Freight forwarding or liner experience
  • Commercially minded
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary & Benefits:
