The Role:

Our client is a well-established, industry leading courier company based in Eastleigh & part of a larger specialist logistics group. The nature of work means it is fast paced, within a great team & supportive colleagues & management.

Due to continued year on year growth, the company is looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to join their team to book & manage courier shipments & movements, both local, nationwide & international around the globe. You will book consignments with various service providers, with the likes of FedEx & DHL and manage all aspects of tracking on in-house system and provide excellent customer service. The company has its own drivers and fleet, so you will also manage the work flow, dealing with any issues.

The role will be predominantly office based, however if you like a mixture of being out and about, then cover for drivers and meeting local customers collecting parcels is certainly available.

If you have worked in freight, logistics or shipping & have excellent customer service experience then this could be the perfect role for you to learn more and grow your career.

The role will certainly be varied, challenging & enjoyable.

This role requires the ability to drive, with an interest of helping out with collections and deliveries in the absence of any of the courier drivers within the team. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience, driving and adaptable skills you can offer.
Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working within Freight Forwarding / Courier environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve.

Salary & Benefits:

The company is looking to pay around £27K-£30K for the right person depending on your experience, the role is Monday to Friday (office hours), benefits include 25 days holiday, life assurance, pension & free parking.
