About the Role

Are you an experienced logistics professional with strong import/export knowledge and a passion for keeping complex projects moving?

On behalf of our client we’re recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy, project-led business operating on a global scale. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll become the key point of contact for day-to-day shipping activities, ensuring materials are delivered safely, compliantly and on schedule.

Working closely with internal project teams and international logistics partners, you’ll coordinate shipments, manage freight bookings, oversee customs documentation and help resolve logistical challenges before they impact project delivery. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate freight bookings and transport arrangements to meet project and vessel schedules
  • Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day shipping and logistics enquiries
  • Prepare, review and manage shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading and customs paperwork
  • Support customs clearance activities and provide guidance on international shipping requirements
  • Obtain and review freight quotations, comparing costs and service levels to support value for money
  • Identify potential logistics risks and provide practical solutions to minimise disruption
  • Build strong relationships with freight providers, project teams and external partners
  • Provide operational support during management absences to ensure continuity across logistics activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting new systems, process enhancements and automation initiatives

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who already has experience working within international logistics, freight forwarding or shipping and is confident managing multiple priorities.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience coordinating import and export shipments
  • Good understanding of customs procedures and international shipping documentation
  • Experience obtaining and reviewing freight quotations
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with internal teams and external logistics providers
  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and finding practical solutions
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems
