Business Development Manager

Our client provides international logistics & supply chain services to a wide customer base, mainly to retailers. The company is looking to add to their commercial team in Southampton.

Do you have solid commercial & sales experience gained within the logistics sector?

As well as growing existing customer accounts & building on relationships, you will be responsible for identifying & securing new business, targeting a varied client base.

The Role:

In this role you will have full responsibility for identifying potential customers, approaching & tendering, and ultimately bringing new business onboard, whilst managing a sales pipeline. You will be set goals & targets and will develop strategic plans for business growth, researching new, markets customers & preparing presentations.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous logistics / 3PL experience
  • Proven sales / commercial background
  • Full driving licence
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent customer service and IT skills

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is looking to pay between £55K – £65K for the right candidate, plus commission-based bonus scheme, company car allowance and pension scheme
