Overview
Are you a relationship-focused freight forwarding professional who loves working with customers but not the pressure of cold-target sales?
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring excellent service, smart commercial decisions and ongoing growth.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director, taking over newly won clients and becoming their day-to-day contact. Expect plenty of interaction, problem-solving and coordination — alongside the admin needed to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts
- Build strong customer relationships at all levels
- Update rate sheets and tariffs as required
- Monitor performance, KPIs and customer deliverables
- Identify opportunities for added value and growth
- Liaise with operations for smooth service delivery
- Support debtor management and query resolution
- Produce and review reports and customer data
- Attend customer visits and internal meetings
About You
- Freight forwarding / logistics experience
- Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset
- Commercially aware and comfortable with admin/detail
- Good problem-solver who builds trust quickly
- Confident working with data and MS Office
- Full UK driving licence
