About the Role
We’re looking for a Multimodal Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join our client’s Portsmouth operation. You’ll handle a mix of exports and imports across air, sea & road managing the full process in-house wherever possible. The role will be mainly export based, but some imports thrown in regularly too.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll have real ownership: arranging the collection of freight on the company’s own vehicles, arranging storage, cutting airway bills and bills of lading, and completing customs entries.
 
You’ll also handle dangerous goods shipments, working closely with customers, suppliers and carriers to keep everything moving smoothly and on time.
 
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing multimodal export and import shipments from start to finish
  • Handling road, air and occasional sea freight
  • Preparing airway bills, bills of lading and all relevant shipping documentation
  • Completing customs entries
  • Coordinating in-house collections, warehousing and onward transport
  • Liaising with clients, carriers and overseas agents
  • Managing DG shipments in line with regulations
  • Keeping customers fully updated throughout the process

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ freight forwarding experience (all levels welcome to apply)
  • Strong understanding of multimodal operations
  • Experience with exports (imports beneficial)
  • Ability to manage shipments end-to-end with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who values honesty, clarity and customer care
  • Experience with dangerous goods is an advantage
