Vessel Agent Team Leader
Are you an experienced ships agent, looking to make your next career move and join a large well established, global shipping line?
The Role:
Primarily you will be responsible to lead the Vessel Agent Team, ensuring all activities of the vessel call are met, plus making sure all port and other legal requirements are always adhered too.
You will be responsible to monitor the vessel movements throughout Europe, allocating berths to the group vessels plus facilitate the crew change and assist any visitors to and from the vessel. The success candidate will need to carry out customs clearance and act as the local point of contact for vessel, including day to day matters and in the event of emergencies. You will need to lead the team and assign the workload where necessary. plus, continually review the cargo operation, advising of delays and be the local point of contact for the vessel.
Essential Criteria:
- Import / Export experience / customs
- Team Leader – Management skills
- Full British Driving Licence
- Previous agency experience
- Able to be flexible with working hours and weekends.
- Good attention to detail
- A ‘can do’ attitude.

This company is looking to pay a competitive salary of up too £37,470 depending on experience, Bupa, Pension, and subsidised gym membership.after probationary period
Candidates will need to be flexible with working hours, as you will be required to work out of hours / weekends as part of team rota, this would be a three-week work rota.
