Traffic Operator

Are you looking to join a company that continues to grow & development? We have a position available with a family run transport and logistics company that are looking to recruit a Traffic Operator to join their Southampton branch.

The Role:

As Traffic Operator you will be planning the workload from Southampton, managing allocated trucks and ensuring service levels are met. The successful candidate will need to manage the drivers and ensure all communications are kept to the agreed service levels. plus ensure all bookings via the VBS are booked correctly and all current issues are managed and dealt within a timely manner.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in Traffic planning – Operations

Knowledge of haulage and container industry

Great attention to detail and good organisational skills.

  • Geographical knowledge
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent Communication skills and IT skills

About the Company:

Salary and Benefits

This company is looking to pay between £25k – £35k for the right candidate, 20 days holiday which increases with length of service, life assurance and pension plus onsite parking.

The working hours are Monday to Friday on a shift rotation basis to cover the core daily hours

Once completion of successful training, the successful candidate will be required to join the Saturday shift rota and provide holiday cover, there may be occasional travel to other depots when needed.
