Shipping Coordinator

A leading RoRo company in Southampton is looking to recruit a bright, enthusiastic & keen individual who ideally has had some exposure within freight & shipping. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has had some exposure ideally with either a line or a forwarder and wishes to learn about all aspects of moving cargo worldwide and to develop their career long-term.

The Role:

You will be responsible for raising job files, providing service details upon request, taking export bookings, updating clients on the progress of their shipments, taking delivery & collection instructions, and ensuring all vehicles have cleared Customs. Plus advising accounts teams regarding incoming payments to ensure correct allocation and any other tasks as directed by the  Office Manager

Essential Criteria:

  • Some exposure of working within an import and/or export environment –  Sea Freight
  • Enthusiastic and have a can-do attitude.
  • Good, fast & accurate typing skills
  • Good IT skills, with an attention to detail
  • Good communication skills

This is a position with a leading RoRo shipping company with offices around the world. Their Southampton office has a good friendly working environment.

Salary & Benefits:

For the right candidate our client is looking to pay between £18K -25K  depending on experience. 22 days holiday + Bank Holidays plus other excellent benefits
