Import Freight Forwarder

Do you have Customs & shipping experience and looking for a new role within a busy shipping environment, with a well-established, owner managed company? Our client based near the centre of Southampton may just have the ideal role for you.

The Role:

Coordinating the arrival of RoRo vessels & cargo, you will be responsible for collating shipping documentation & ensuring original Bills of Lading has been surrendered, claiming UCNs, classifying cargo to its correct HMRC tariff codes and completing Customs entries.

Managing releases, manifesting cargo, issuing quotes and arranging collections / deliveries will all form part of this role, working within a friendly team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous import shipping experience
  • Customs entries
  • Good customer services skills
  • Good IT knowledge

Our client is looking to pay between £25k – £30k  for the right candidate, depending on experience.
