Do you have solid import freight forwarding experience? Are you experienced in completing Customs entries to clear cargo into the UK? Ideally you will also be confident managing shipments from start to finish, although training can be provided if needed.

The Role:

The company is looking for an experienced import forwarder who is confident completing Customs entries and arranging final delivery, who ideally has experience in dealing with carriers & suppliers, negotiating rates and compiling quotations – however the company is willing to provide training in any weak areas.

In this role you will be responsible for dealing with overseas agents and managing shipments throughout the process. So, a varied role dealing with different clients, cargo and problems to solve.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous import forwarding experience
  • Familiar with shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading
  • Customs clearance experience
  • Good customer services skills
  • Good IT knowledge

Desirable Criteria:

  • Transport experience
