General Manager – Support Services

Do you have experience in a General Manager role (Support) Role  ?   Have you achieved all you can in your current role and now looking for a new challenge and join a well-known, leading independent warehouse, distribution & supply chain solutions company based in Southampton. This role is a key position within the management team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair of the buildings – premises. Lead and develop a small team, as you will be working closely alongside the General Manager, so the support services are providing too the directors. Ensure all necessary audits and inspections, both external and internal are carried are scheduled and completed. The successful candidate will manage both colleagues and contractors who look after the facilities compliance, quality, health and safety  plus security

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous Facilities experience – Offices, Vehicle yards and Warehouses
  • NEVOSH certificate or Equilvalent
  • Previous experience with transport and warehouse operations
  • Experience in leadership and negotiation
  • Experience with Microsoft office programs – MS excel – Quality systems
  • Commercial awareness & strategic thinker
  • Good communication skills

Salary & Benefits:

This company is looking to pay a very competitive salary for the right candidate plus pension & life insurance. The core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, but of course can vary depending on the need of the business.
