Do you have Customs & shipping experience and looking for a new role within a busy freight forwarder? Our client based in Portsmouth has an opportunity for 2 people to join their Customs Department, clearing goods in and out of the UK and working closely with the freight forwarding team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for collating shipping documentation, claiming UCNs, classifying cargo to its correct tariff code and completing Customs entries for cargoes arriving & departing various UK ports.

Previous import/export experience, knowledge of Customs entry software & CHIEF is required. Ideally DEFRA and Port Health knowledge is desirable but not essential as training can be provided in any weak areas.

Salary & Benefits:

For this position, our client is looking to pay between £24-30K depending on experience for the right person. Free on-site parking and other benefits on offer.
