Cargo Administrator

Our client is looking for an experienced cargo administrator to join their extremely busy logistics team in Southampton.

They seek a passionate, determined, and dedicated team player that can drive the group forward, an exciting opportunity for anyone with experience in this field.

The Role:

In this role the successful candidate will join the cargo team, this is a key role supporting the busy cargo yard. You will book VBS slots with the ports, taking customer enquiries by email and telephone, liaise with the transport team to arrange the cargo and plan the yard work. The successful candidate will have administrative duties and invoicing also

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in Road Transport and Port Operations
  • Experience in Logistics / Shipping
  • Commercial awareness
  • Team player / able to work well under pressure.
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
